WP White Security acquires Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha (v2 & v3)

We are happy to announce our first plugin acquisition as we pursue our mission to build value-driven WordPress security and admin plugins. This new acquisition will undoubtedly help us deliver more value to our customers.

The Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha plugin complements our existing portfolio, which offers a robust set of WordPress plugins designed to improve the security and administration of websites and users.

Why a CAPTCHA plugin?

Through this acquisition, we will be better positioned to offer the WordPress community more ways to stay secure and protect their websites’ forms and login pages from automated spam and malicious attacks.

Together with existing plugins such as WP Activity Log, WP 2FA, and Melapress Login Security, WP WhiteSecurity offers administrators security mechanisms every step of the way to grow their websites safely.

About Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha (v2 & v3)

Shamim Hasan released the first version of the plugin in 2019 and as of today, it is installed on more than 200,000 websites. Kudos to Shamim for that impressive growth!

Since then, the plugin has undergone several major improvements. However, due to other commitments, Shamim couldn’t maintain the plugin any longer, and he approached us with the idea.

As the plugin compliments our existing portfolio of WordPress plugins, the decision was an easy one. Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha (v2 & v3) offers administrators a flexible way to deploy captcha on their WordPress websites. Its flexibility means it can be deployed in various ways. This allows administrators to balance security and usability while reducing spam and other forms of automated attacks on their websites.

What are we going to do with the plugin?

With this part of the journey just beginning, we will be undertaking a significant overhaul of the plugin. We will start this overhaul by addressing all the reported issues, and making sure the plugin is fully compatible with the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and the other popular plugins it supports.

Furthermore, we will be looking for ways to improve the functionality and usability of the plugin to bring it in line with our existing portfolio of plugins and adding new features.

While looking forward to developing this plugin to its full potential, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our existing customers and partners. Without them, this journey would not be possible.

    1. Hello Michael,

      Thanks for reaching out!

Indeed, the license is still valid and just to make it a point here that the pricing for all existing customers will not change.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

      Best wishes,
      Rado

  1. Advanced noCaptcha & invisible captcha is a great plugin, the best stand-alone captcha plugin in the WordPress repository. Please don’t screw this up by kicking its basic functions to paid features.

  2. If you end up adding loads of functionality that we, the users, do not need, you will end up getting lots of 1-star reviews from around the world. This has happened to other plugins that were bought up simply for the existing user-based, but turned into something wholly different from the original product. The minute I see bulkware added to this plugin, I’ll look elsewhere as will many others. This is a warning to people who buy existing plugins and greatly change the functionality.

    1. Thank you for sharing your concern Tuyre. We understand you, but you don’t need worry about that. Look at all our other WordPress security plugins: we only develop “single functionality” plugins. This means that we do not develop plugins that try to do everything under the sun. Instead, we develop plugins that can only do one thing, and specialize in it.

Our aim with this plugin is to develop it into the most complete CAPTCHA plugin solution for WordPress websites. Stay tuned with us and follow this blog if you’d like to stay up to date with what is new and improved in this plugin.

      1. Your site clearly states: “Furthermore, we will be looking for ways to improve the functionality and usability of the plugin to bring it in line with our existing portfolio of plugins and adding new features.”
Your own development team has plans to expand the functionality of the plugin and tie the plugin linking it to your existing suite of plugins. Have seen this happen a few times before and it usually doesn’t end well.

        1. Hello Tuyre. By that we meant that in terms of standards and UX, the plugin will be improved and brought to the same standard as the other plugins. In terms of functionality, if there are other CAPTCHA related features and functionality that can be added, we will add them. However, the plugin will always remain solely a CAPTCHA solution plugin, and no other functionality will be added. The aim is to have the most-complete and advanced CAPTCHA plugin solution for WordPress.

If you’d like to learn more about our standards, development and how we do business, I’d like to invite you to try our WordPress plugins.

I hope the above helps. Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    1. Thank you very much for your feedback Craig. We will do our best to turn this plugin into a sustainable CAPTCHA solution for WordPress. We are not a fan of taking out existing free functionality. In fact we have never done that with any of all our other WordPress security plugins, so we will definitely do our best to avoid this with this plugin. Stay tuned with us on this blog to know when we release the next updates.
