New WFCM plugin announcement

We have been toying with the idea of developing a WordPress file integrity scanning and monitoring plugin for quite some time. However, we did not want to develop just another file scanning plugin.

We wanted to develop a WordPress file scanning plugin that addresses the issues existing  ones have! So in January we went back to the drawing board and today we are excited to announce our new WordPress plugin – Website File Changes Monitor.

We are really proud of what we achieved with Website File Changes Monitor. We developed a WordPress file scanning plugin that does not report false positives. When you update WordPress core, a plugin or a theme it doesn’t report hundreds of file changes raising false alarms. This post explains what makes our new Website File Changes Monitor plugin different.

Introducing a Smart File Scanning Technology

The file scanning technology of the Website File Changes Monitor plugin is not limited to WordPress core, plugins and themes. Once installed on your WordPress site, it scans all the files in the root of your site. It also scans any custom applications and code you might have on your website.

Unique Scans For YOUR Website

Most of the WordPress file integrity scanning plugins detect file changes by comparing your WordPress sites’ files with a central repository. However, such approach limits the plugin’s capabilities and generates false positives.

The Website File Changes Monitor plugin works differently. It compares the hashes of your sites’ files in between scans. So even if you have customized code, the plugin does not report false positives. With its smart technology it can also detect changes in any type of custom code and plugins.

WordPress Core, Plugins & Themes File Changes Aware

The Website File Changes Monitor plugin is able to detect site structure changes. So when you update your WordPress core, or install, update or delete a plugin or a theme the plugin does not report hundreds of file changes. Instead it alerts you of the site structure change. You can also check and verify the site structure change. By using such approach you only get genuine notifications and no false alarms.

WordPress Multisite Network Compatible

The Website File Changes Monitor plugin detects file changes on WordPress multisite networks. It is a multisite network tool and is managed from the network dashboard. When running on a multisite network you can select which of the sites’ uploads folders the plugin should scan.

Monitor Your WordPress Site For Unwanted File & Code Changes

No WordPress security solution is bulletproof proof! The more weapons you have in your arsenal the better you can secure, protect and manage your site. Hence why you have to monitor your WordPress site for unwanted file and code changes.

Download the FREE WordPress file changes monitor plugin from the official WordPress plugins repository. Get notified when new files are added, or existing ones are modified or deleted from your site, without any false alarms!
