Since we acquired CAPTCHA 4WP (previously Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha (v2 & v3)) we set about updating the code and mechanics of the plugin to bring it in line with WP White Security’s standards. In many ways. Version 7.0.0 was the first phase of this endeavor.
Version 7.0.6 ties it all together as we took customer feedback on board to make sure CAPTCHA 4WP is the best WordPress CAPTCHA solution out there.
Here’s what you can look forward to when updating to this version
What’s new
With many of our customers running successful WooCommerce stores, we wanted to provide more options to ensure smoother eCommerce processes without impacting security. To this end, you can now limit CAPTCHA to the login page and omit it from the checkout form.
Notable improvements
A number of JavaScripts and logic improvements have been made to ensure a smoother and more consistent experience throughout, including better integration with plugins such as WooCommerce, Contact Form 7, and BuddyPress.
We have also made several UX improvements, including better inline help text, updated branding, and admin UI improvements. These improvements should make the configuration and administration of the plugin easier and more enjoyable.
Bug fixes
Version 7.0.3 includes a number of bug fixes, which should translate to a butter-smooth experience when using any of the ReCAPTCHA versions. Contact Form 7 is now also backward compatible with previously used tags. At the same time, MailChimp tags will work straight out of the box.
For a full list of updates, improvements, and bug fixes, refer to the plugin’s changelog, where we list everything that has changed in the new version.
