Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an authentication method. It is a type or subset of multi-factor authentication. In 2FA, to confirm the users’ identity and allow a user to login, the system requires a combination of two different factors. For example the password and a one-time code generated by an app on a smartphone. You can easily implement 2FA on your site with a two-factor authentication plugin.
